Dear Prospective Family,
We are grateful that you are considering Augusta Christian Academy as a possible educational option for your child and family. Choosing the best way to support your child’s learning is one of the most significant decisions for a parent. We hope that discovering more about our offerings assists you in determining if our program aligns with your family's needs.
ACA is a subsidiary of Crossroads Baptist Church. However, as a community school, this ministry strives to serve and support Christian families from a variety of local churches as well as community members who may not have a church home.
At ACA, our vision for Christian Education is twofold: we aim for our students to develop spiritually, intellectually, and socially while promoting similar growth in society. We guide individuals toward heavenly citizenship, instilling a desire to bring heavenly values into their current world. Our goal is to cultivate individuals who are both heavenly-minded and committed to making a positive impact on Earth.
Our program’s foundation is teaching academically rigorous material from a biblical worldview, with emphasis on teaching critical thinking skills. Students discover the significance of the Bible across all academic disciplines, as each textbook integrates principles that shape a biblical worldview. Academic rigor refers to an educational experience that involves students in material suitable for their level, fostering their ability to analyze, assess, and eventually generate new ideas. Our curriculum provides educators with techniques and resources to captivate students with material, teach them effectively, and foster critical-thinking abilities, enabling students to experience the joy of learning.
We do all of this through a rich community of learning, structured around meaningful relationships where each child is viewed as an image-bearer of God, possessing unique gifts, talents, and abilities, and created for a purpose. By creating a nurturing environment where each student is known and loved, we partner with parents to nurture them spiritually, intellectually, socially, and develop their leadership potential. We pray our students will leave our school and change our world for Christ!
You are encouraged to explore our school and see the various ways we are equipping students in a transformative manner. Additionally, we would be delighted to welcome you for a tour, allowing you to personally experience why Augusta Christian Academy is a great choice for your family.
Sincerely,
Yvonne L. Howdyshell
Executive Director
