When my husband and I first began exploring school options for our children, we never anticipated looking beyond public education. We both grew up attending public schools, went on to build fulfilling careers, and had no major concerns with our own experiences. However, once our oldest child was enrolled in a local public school, we quickly realized that today's classrooms looked and felt vastly different from the ones we remembered.
Despite being one of the better schools in our area, we witnessed the common presence of bullying, limited resources, and overcrowded classrooms. Our son, once curious and eager, began to fall behind academically and would come home emotionally drained, reflecting the stress and influences he was exposed to during the day. Our evenings became focused more on correction than connection, and we knew something needed to change.
Still, the idea of private education felt like a stretch. The cost was a significant consideration, especially with a second child soon to enter school. But after countless prayers, heartfelt conversations, and encouragement from other families who had taken the same leap, we felt a clear calling: we wanted more for our children—and we trusted that God would provide.
Enrolling in ACA was one of the most pivotal decisions we've made for our family. Not only have we never regretted it, but the experience has far exceeded our expectations. Within just a year, the transformation was undeniable. Our children began coming home joyful, eager to share their day, and filled with a sense of peace and belonging. The stress and tears we had grown used to were replaced with laughter, stories, and quality time as a family.
ACA not only provided an exceptional academic foundation, but it also instilled the moral guidance and biblical values we longed for our children to learn. They didn’t just memorize prayers—they started initiating them. They began asking to attend church, to pray for others, and to serve with open hearts. The growth we witnessed wasn’t just academic—it was spiritual, emotional, and deeply personal.
We’ve also found a sense of community we didn’t know we were missing. The extended care options allowed us to manage work-life balance more easily, and we became more involved than we ever expected—volunteering, coaching, and building lasting connections with other families.
ACA didn’t just change the trajectory of our children’s education—it changed our family. We are closer, more grounded, and guided by a shared faith and purpose that now shapes our everyday life. We are forever grateful for the impact ACA has had on our home, and we wholeheartedly advocate for others to consider the lasting difference a Christ-centered education can make.
Thanks,
Shreckhise Family
