The Augusta Christian Academy Board welcomed five new members to our Board at the January 28th meeting.

Allen George, Pastor of SherLynd Baptist Church, brings his enthusiastic support for Christian Education along with his deep Biblical background. 

Nick Short has a special connection as an ACA parent and also has an accounting background which will be helpful for the Finance Committee.

David Sorrells, with grandchildren in ACA and another Christian school in Lynchburg, brings his extensive business management experience to our board. 

Stephanie Swortzel will come with her experience as Controller at Cadence, Inc.  Her knowledge will be very beneficial in the challenging work of our Board Finance Committee.

Alyson Wood worked many years in Hospice and was deeply involved with Tamara Talley-Campbell and her daughter Madee, and the Madee Project following Madee’s passing.  She also brings experience in fundraising and will be a blessing on the Development Committee which oversees those activities. 

We are thankful for the enrichment these new members add to our Board. God continues to meet all needs as the Academy moves forward serving Christ with outstanding Christian Education.
