Statement of Faith

The Bible

We believe the Bible to be the inspired, the only infallible, and authoritative Word of God. -2 Timothy 3:16

There is one God

We believe there is one God, eternally existent in three presons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit
-Isaiah 45:5; Exodus 20:1-5; 1 John 5:7; Matthew 28:1

The Deity of our Lord

His virgin birth, His sinless life, His miracles, His atoning death through the shed blood, His bodily resurrection, His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and His personal return in power and glory. 
-Acts 1:11; John 10:33; Matthew 1:23; Hebrews 4:15; John 2:11; 1 Corinthians 15:3; John 11:25; Mark 16:19

Salvation

We believe that salvation can be neither deserved nor earned but is the free gift of God given to those who accept it by faith.
-Ephesian 2:8-10; John 3:16; John 5:24; Romans 5:8-9; Titus 3:5

Resurrection

We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost-they that are saved unto the resurrection of life and they that are lost unto the resurrection of damnation. -John 5:28

Spriritual Unity

We believe in the spritiual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ. -Ephesians 4:4-6

Present ministry of the Holy Spirit

We believe in the present minsitry of the Holy Spirit by indwelling the Christian, enabling him or her to live a godly life. -Romans 8:29

Creation

We believe that God created the universe in six literal, 24-hour periods. We reject evolution, the Gap Theory, the Day-Age Theory, and Theistic evolution as unscriptural theories of origin. -Genesis 1-2; Exodus 20:11

Children

We believe that children are a heritage from the Lord, and they are to be always subject to their parents and obedient. Parents are responsible for teaching their children spiritual and moral values and leading them, through consistent lifestyle example and appropriate discipline, including Scriptural corporal correction. 
-Psalm 127:3-5; Ephesians 6:1-4

Marriage

We believe marriage sanctioned by God, joins a biological male and a biological female. 
-Genesis 2:24; Ephesians 5:22-23; Mark 10:6-9; 1 Corinthians 7:1-9

Gender

We believe children are wonderfully and immutably created as male or female. The two-distinct, complimentary genders together reflect the image and nature of God. The rejection of one's biological gender is a rejection of the image of God within the person.
-Genesis 1:26-27.

Because ACA is a ministry of Crossroads Baptist Church and follows the beliefs and practices of the church, anytime there is conflict between the school and any new legal standard, the church's statement of faith, doctrines, and biblical positions will govern.
